Our mission = explore evergreen patterns of quality

In this podcast, we unpack the paradoxes underpinning the term quality in business, investing and entrepreneurship from the best in their respective fields with the most real-world repetitions.

“Care and Quality are internal and external aspects of the same thing. A person who sees Quality and feels it as he works is a person who cares. A person who cares about what he sees and does is a person who’s bound to have some characteristic of quality.”

–  Robert M. Pirsig author of Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance

The Art of Quality Journey

All builders will spend years understanding the many little things that lead to success. They eventually notice that Quality scales as a fractal and emerges over time in all areas including products, culture, customers, business models and ultimately in the sustainability of growth in revenue and value.

Outstanding business builders get hooked on “walking the walk” and expressing themselves through what they build, thriving on chaos and velocity. This involves the messy parts, paradoxes, challenges, failures and risks which don’t always go their way.

Naturally, builders are also investors of - time, resources and capital - which requires an understanding of risk and the skills to build enduring value. They also are generally focussed and have limited time for theory, often biased towards action in friends and work.

Rebuild, Reinvest

We found the above journey a lonely one and so decided to build The Art of Quality to discuss, distill, and communicate the simple lessons from those with the most experience and share it.

After years of trying, we found the big evergreen ideas are often only accessible via stories and dialogue –- not with more research notes or spreadsheets.
